Kosta Ligris is a Senior Lecturer at the MIT Sloan School of Management, where he teaches and researches entrepreneurship, strategic management, and technological innovation. He is currently completing a Master’s in Cybersecurity at UC Berkeley, with a focus on identity proofing and online identity in digital systems. Kosta’s work explores the application of artificial intelligence in law, real estate, and financial services—particularly in establishing trust, verifying identity, and securing transactions online.
He is the founder and former CEO of Stavvy, a Boston-based fintech that modernized financial services workflows, and the founder of the Ligris family of title and settlement companies, one of the largest independent title firms in New England. A longtime Entrepreneur in Residence at the MIT Martin Trust Center, Kosta also serves on several boards and is recognized nationally for his thought leadership in digital trust, legal innovation, and housing finance.
