Effie Nestorides is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology -M.I.T. (BSCE '83) and Northeastern University (MSCE '85). She worked in the USA for 3 years and joined EYDAP in 1988 where she started her career in the design of water supply projects. In the years that followed she held managerial positions in the areas of water & wastewater infrastructure planning & development, corporate operational analysis, and energy.

In 2016 she took over as Executive Director of Coordination and Support Operations with areas of responsibility in environment, energy, buildings infrastructure, design & project tenders and Information Technology (IT) departments. From 2019 to 2021, she served as Management Consultant with main area of responsibility supporting the Administration in the negotiations with the Greek State for the new 20-year concession contract for the exclusive right to provide water supply & sewerage services in Attica.

As of June 2021, she holds the position of Executive Director of Digital Governance, aiming at the modernization and digital transformation of EYDAP. EYDAP is currently transforming its 66 legacy computer systems to fully integrated state-of the art systems with new hybrid technologies (on-premise-cloud) and introducing higher levels of data analysis with the help of AI , to improve efficiency and further automate business processes. The digital transformation affects all company systems information and operational control (IT & OT).
